Below is important information to keep in mind before you arrive and we ask that you read through the entire email thoroughly.
Location
The conference will take place at the Carolina Theatre and Durham Convention Center located at 301 West Morgan Street, Durham, NC 27701.
Travel & Parking
If you haven’t already, check out the ATAI travel page if you are coming from out of town. Parking information can also be found on the travel page and the Durham Convention Center has provided a helpful map identifying downtown parking available.
*All parking garages only take cards, not cash.
Schedule
Sunday, March 22
- 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm – Early Check-in – Skip the lines on Monday and Tuesday! Stop by the tent in the plaza in front of the Durham Convention Center and Carolina Theatre to receive your attendees badge.
Monday, March 23
- 8:00am – Doors open and check-in begins
- 9:00am – Workshops begin
Tuesday, March 24
- 7:45am – Doors open and check-in begins
- 8:45am – Programming begins in the Durham Convention Center Grand Ballrooms (keynotes)
Check-In
When you arrive you will need to check-in at the tent in the plaza in front of the Durham Convention Center and Carolina Theatre to receive your attendee badge for the day. You must wear your badge while you are onsite to attend all sessions and socials. Monday attendee badges will be marked according to which workshop you registered to attend.
*Attendees needing an accessible route without stairs may enter via the Marriott Hotel Forest Street Entrance and proceed to the help desk for check-in assistance.
Food & Beverages
- Monday, March 23 – Limited morning coffee will be available courtesy of our friends at
Randstad Digital Powered by Torc. Lunch and a drink will be served onsite. We strongly encourage attendees to bring their own bottles and utilize the water bottle filling stations. There will be complementary coffee (1: 00pm) and cookies (3:00 pm) at the IBM Generative Computing Lounge across from the Junior Ballrooms in the Durham Convention Center. The concession stand in the lobby of the Carolina Theatre will be open on MONDAY from 1:30pm to 4:30pm and will have snacks and drinks on sale. Credit card only (no cash). The Monday Welcome Social, made possible by GitButler, will take place at the Table South Kitchen and Bar, located in the Marriott Hotel (directly adjoined to the Durham Convention Center) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. At check-in attendees will receive a ticket for one free drink (first come, first serve). There will be flatbread pizza served (while supplies last) and attendees are welcome to purchase additional items. - Tuesday, March 24 – Limited morning coffee will be available courtesy of our friends at
Randstad Digital Powered by Torc. Lunch and a drink will be served onsite. We strongly encourage attendees to bring their own bottles and utilize the water bottle filling stations. There will be complementary coffee (1:00 pm) and cookies (3:00 pm) at the IBM Generative Computing Lounge across from the Junior Ballrooms in the Durham Convention Center. The Tuesday Farewell Social, made possible by AWS, will take place at Westend Billiards. Come join us for free games of pool, darts and shuffleboard! Attendees will receive a free drink ticket when they arrive (first come, first serve, limited tickets available).
Onsite Charging
Onsite power outlets will be limited. A number of charging stations will be available in the IBM Generative Computing Lounge, however we strongly encourage attendees, especially those attending workings on Monday, March 23, to make sure their devices are fully charged when they arrive and that they bring power banks for their devices if needed.
*Do not assume power outlets will be available. Be sure to charge your machine before arriving AND bring a power bank.

WIFI will be available onsite.

Book Signings & Poster Giveaway
We’ll be hosting a multiple book signings and giving away 500 copies of the official 2026 poster. Check out the book signing & poster giveaway schedule for times and locations.
T-Shirts
We’re giving away more than 1,000 official 2026 t-shirts! Shirts will be available onsite on both Monday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 24 between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm. Shirts will be distributed in the lobby of the Carolina Theatre, in the Box Office Ticket Window area (the same location as distribution last year).
Sticker Table
Pick up your official ATAI stickers at the Sticker Table, located in the IBM Generative Computing Lounge. And don’t forget to bring stickers to leave. It’s not required of course, but feel free. All stickers must adhere to the Code of Conduct.
*Adhering stickers to any property that is not your own, especially venue property and surfaces, will result in immediate expulsion from the event.
