Anya Derbakova

Anya Derbakova is an AWS Senior Solutions Architect who has spent her career at the intersection of emerging technology and real-world impact. From her early days as the founding CTO of Hearful Technologies to her current work helping enterprise customers deploy AI safely and responsibly, Anya has always been drawn to the hard problems that sit between what’s technically possible and what actually works in production.

Today, she specializes in generative AI, agentic systems, security, and compliance, with a particular focus on healthcare. She believes healthcare is one of the most exciting and consequential frontiers for AI, where the potential to improve lives is enormous, but so is the risk of getting it wrong. Her work centers on helping organizations navigate that tension, building AI systems that are powerful, trustworthy, and compliant with the rigorous demands of regulated industries.

An experienced conference speaker, Anya has presented at multiple All Things Open conferences and is excited to return to the stage at All Things AI. She is based in North Carolina, where she previously served as interim CTO of Goldie Health, applying her technical expertise to address the opioid crisis affecting western North Carolina. Outside of work, she is a devoted Liverpool FC supporter who has made the pilgrimage to Anfield, and a proud mom to one supremely happy toddler.
